This movie provides a diabetic meal plan for a whole working day for vegetarians.It has been made to be as close to a common food as achievable, maintaining in intellect the dietary needs.

Damaged wheat/Daliya 1 cup
H2o 3 cups

greenchillies 2 chopped
Ginger a smaller piece chopped

Cabbage 4 Tbsp chopped

Mustard seeds1/4 tsp
urad dal1/4 tsp
Dry purple chilli 1

tomato Kara chutney

Buttermilk 1 glass

Roasted & powdered cumin seeds

Hand pounded rice 1 cup
H2o 2 cups

Bittergourd curry
Bittergourd 2 items
Oil 2 tsp
Mustard seeds1/4 tsp
Uraddal 1/4 tsp
Onion 1 chopped
Dry pink chilli 2
Tamarind extract 2 Tbsp
Turmeric powder a pinch
Sambar powder 1 tsp

Palak dal
Thuvar dal/pigeonpea lentil 1/4 cup
chat 2 bunches
Onion 1
Tomatoes 2
Chilli powder 1/4 tsp
Oil 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/4 Tsp

Cucumber ,onion, tomato sliced
Curd 1/2 cup

Chick peas/kabuli channa 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder a pinch
Oil 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Urad dal 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves a handful of
Dry crimson chilli 1
Hing/asafoetida a pinch
Coriander leaves a couple of

Cabbage Kootu
Cabbage 1/4 kg
Split moong dal 1/4 cup
Cooked Thuvar dal 1/4 cup
Turmeric powder a pinch
Sambar powder 1 tsp
Oil 1 Tbsp
Onions 2chopped

Garam masala 1 tsp

Boiled greens(optional)

  1. I have watched the video for about 2 minutes and got confused. Broken wheat, peas, even onions have quite a lot of carb and all kinds of grains are avoided in diabetic condition. I am not sure how upama made of those food qualifies as a 'diabetic food'!

  4. This is way too much food for a diabetic. Also, wheat is a no-no for a diabetic. Millets should be taken instead of wheat.

  7. iam strongly saying tht no need take all spl food for diabetic patients….eat as usually…skip sugar and rice…instead of tht take siridanyalu…and jonna rotti…walking is the main ….eat well sleep
